Terms of Service — Tippy
Last updated: November 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Tippy Telegram bot, the Mini App or the website ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Tippy is a community economy on the Base blockchain. It provides:
- USDC tipping, rain and a custodial balance between Telegram users
- Prediction markets with an LMSR automated market maker
- Pool bets (parimutuel), settled by the pool creator
- Creator tokens and paywalled posts, plus paid channel subscriptions
- On-chain outcome markets (ERC-1155) traded through a smart account
- x402 payment endpoints for AI agents
- An AI assistant that answers from ledger data and, when configured, from a third-party language model
The Service is experimental software. Features may change, be suspended or be withdrawn.
3. Custodial Risk
Your funds are held in a custodial wallet operated by the Service. Proof of reserves is publicly available at /api/solvency, but you acknowledge that:
- The operator controls the private keys
- There is no insurance on deposited funds
- You should not deposit more than you can afford to lose
- The operator is not a bank or a licensed financial institution
4. Fees and Limits
Tips, withdrawals, market subsidies, trading and winnings may carry fees and limits. The rates that apply are the ones shown in the bot or Mini App before you confirm an operation, and they are published by /api/info. They may change; a change applies to operations confirmed after it.
5. Market Resolution
Pool bets are resolved by their creator, who names the winning option. A pool whose deadline has passed and that the creator has not resolved can be cancelled, returning the stakes. On-chain markets are resolved according to their smart contract; the operator cannot reverse an on-chain trade.
6. No Investment Advice
Prediction markets, creator tokens and any analysis provided (including by AI agents) are for entertainment purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment or trading advice.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Use the Service for money laundering or terrorist financing
- Attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
- Create markets with misleading or fraudulent outcomes
- Use automated scripts to manipulate markets (front-running)
8. Limitation of Liability
The operator shall not be liable for any losses arising from:
- Smart contract vulnerabilities
- Blockchain congestion or failures
- Incorrect market resolutions
- Loss of access to your Telegram account
9. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
